Lifelong learning

Jesus made it clear that following him is a commitment for life! The Christian churches have always emphasised the principle of lifelong learning - that you are never too old to learn and there is always something new to discover.

For centuries people were expected to do their learning through listening to the weekly sermon. Reading and personal study was limited to the few who could afford it. The web is the latest in a long line of new technologies which have given people new opportunities to learn for themselves.

Today many Christians want to discover their gifts, find their role within their local Christian community, and be part of the mission of God - where they live, where they work, and where they relax.

Just as Jesus took his disciples away to a quiet place to help them learn and live out the truths he was teaching them, so contemporary Christians need their own times of unhurried reflection and listening.

In a multi-media world we expect our learning to be delivered in a multi-media way. That is what Foundations21 aims to provide. A flexible and rich blend of personal and group-based learning to suit every learning style.
